Reflections on a Semester of Growth: A Journey Through Writing for Engineering
This semester in our Writing for Engineering course has been a transformative journey, marked by substantial growth in various academic and professional skills. From mastering information literacy through CCNY’s online library to perfecting citation in APA style, the coursework has provided a robust framework for enhancing my writing and research capabilities. This essay will reflect on my experiences and learning outcomes from the major assignments, additional coursework, and overall course objectives.
One of the most significant assignments was the lab report, where I had to combine multiple sources of information, showcasing my ability to synthesize complex data. This task required thorough research, critical analysis, and precise presentation of findings, all of which are essential skills in the engineering field. Utilizing the online library, I was able to access peer-reviewed journals and credible sources, thereby honing my information literacy.
